The 94th Appointed Meeting of the Philadelphia Presbytery of the Korean-American Presbyterian Church was held as follows:

Time: September 13, 2022 (Tuesday) 10:00 AM

Place: Church of Love in Philadelphia (Senior Pastor Rev. Subyoung Lim) 710 Bethlehem Pike, Glenside, PA 19038

 

Chapter 1: Opening Worship and Communion

At 10:00 AM, after the Moderator of the Presbytery, Rev. Byeong Eun Lee led the session in singing Hymn 15, there was a Confession of Faith with the Apostle's Creed. And after Hymn 68 was sung, Elder Woon Yong Kim prayed. After Rev. Byeong Eun Lee read Ezekiel 37:1~10, Rev. David Jin Chun preached a sermon entitled, "Can These Bones live?” And after Hymn 198 was sung, the Holy Communion was officiated by Rev. Cheulhee Lee. After Rev. Jae Chul Lee prayed, the officiant read John 6:53~58, and preached a sermon, after which the sacraments were administered by Elder Woon Yong Kim and Elder HeeJu Kwon. Rev. Chulhee Lee gave the benediction to end the Opening Worship and Communion and it was 11:25 AM.

 

Chapter 2: Order of Meeting

At 11:35AM after Hymn 93 was sung and after Rev. Woon Young Paek’s prayer, the meeting was called to order.

The Clerk read the roll call. There were 35 pastors and 5 elders, with a grand total of 40 members in attendance to make the quorum; therefore, the 94th Presbytery meeting was called to order by the Moderator.

The Clerk gave a report of the docket, and it was accepted.

Rev. Sung Chul Kim requested to have Examination and Credential Committee’s meeting, which was allowed.

Rev. Wang Gyu Chae was appointed as Announcer and Rev. JaeWan Yoo was appointed as Inspector of attendance.

• The dissolvement of Rev. Young Suk Shim’s position as entrusted pastor of Atlantic Korean Presbyterian Church was accepted.
• The petition from Young Suk Shim of Atlantic Korean Presbyterian Church to call Rev. Kyung Chang Oh as the entrusted pastor was accepted by absorption with Agape Presbyterian church from Sept. 25th, 2022.
• The petition for election of 9 elders by Woon Young Paek of Yuong Sang Presbyterian Church was accepted.
• The petition for transfer Se Ken Kim into different presbytery (NAP) was accepted

10.  Location of Forthcoming Presbytery Meeting

The selection of the forthcoming meeting location is to be entrusted to the officers.

Rev. Byeong Eun Lee read and preached from Acts 20:32. He then pronounced the benediction and concluded the meeting. It was 1:41PM.
